Federer won their lone FedEx ATP Head2Head matchup, a 6-2, 6-1 rout at the 2015 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Federer would regain control though and despite the first set looking like it was headed for a tiebreak, he managed to manoeuvre his way to two set points off Chung's serve in the 12th game.

When is Federer's next match?

Roger Federer (1), Switzerland, def. Chung Hyeon (23), South Korea, 7-5, 6-1.

Roger Federer may be 36 years old, but he has been an unstoppable force during the 2018 season. The last time Federer started with such an unbeaten streak was 12 years ago in 2006.

"That was a tough mach. Chung is a tough return player", said Roger Federer at the post match conference at the Indian Wells. "And I come back, five-all, and he played good". Federer said he had to be conservative with his shotmaking to get back in it.

"I'm just happy that I'm able to keep up a good level". Sometimes chances don't come around again and that's exactly what happend. "You kind of hope for this kind of scoreline, but you never know if you're actually going to get it".
