How Did Sam Nunberg Go From A Fancy Jewish School To Trumpland?

Former Trump campaign aide backtracks on Mueller: 'I'm going to cooperate'

The grand jury investigating alleged collusion between Russian Federation and Donald Trump's presidential campaign has sent a witness a subpoena seeking all documents involving the president and a host of his closest advisers, according to a copy of the subpoena received by former adviser Sam Nunberg and reviewed by NBC News. In two jaw-dropping interviews that stunned the political world (and probably Nunberg's lawyer), Nunberg, who was sacked by the Trump campaign in August 2015, revealed he had no plans to cooperate with Mueller - a stunt that will most likely end up with him in jail.

Sam Nunberg, who worked on the campaign during 2015, said collecting emails and other communications he had with other key Trump advisors, particularly Steve Bannon and Roger Stone, was too much trouble and he would not do it. On Twitter, Ned Price, who is a former Central Intelligence Agency official said that this subpoena shows that Mueller is treating president Trump's "entire senior campaign team like a criminal enterprise".

Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg. "But I don't know that for sure".

"It was wrong of me to attack Sarah", he said.

"Mr. Mueller should understand I am not going in on Friday" to the grand jury, he added. "He said awful things about Sarah Huckabee Sanders, says he wants to fight Corey Lewandowski in an alley ... he also had terrible things to say about Carter Page".

"Let him arrest me", Nunberg later told The Washington Post in an interview. However, Nunberg said Trump's bodyguard told him that one of the real estate mogul's Russian contacts, Emin Agalarov, offered to send women up to Trump's room, but he refused.

Nunberg seemed particularly concerned with the content of his emails with former Trump campaign officials-not because they would reveal collusion, he told Tur, but because they would reveal his and Stone's mean-spirited gossip.

Jordan Peele makes history with best screenplay Oscar win for 'Get Out'
The horror/comedy movie breaks the mold as to which films traditionally exceed at the Academy Awards . Zac Efron, BJ Novak, Laverene Cox and Josh Gad also expressed their excitement over Peele's win.

It was not immediately clear what consequences Nunberg might face for his refusal to appear before a grand jury. And his investigators are reportedly scrutinizing the Trump Organization's efforts to secure the deal, among other business dealings before the election.

Nunberg, apparently beleaguered by the ongoing Russian Federation investigation, seemed to get more agitated as the day progressed, vowing not to cooperate with Robert Mueller's investigation and even at one point telling Josh Dawsey, "let him arrest me".

But if Nunberg changes his mind (again) and goes through with his stunt, and winds up behind bars, it's worth remembering that coercive contempt (i.e., being jailed until one agrees to testify in a criminal case) is not a criminal punishment, and therefore it is beyond presidential pardon power.

"They can say whatever they want, I don't really care".

Mueller's investigation was a "witch hunt", he told the news outlets, but Nunberg also had a sneaking suspicion Trump "may have done something during the election".

It's an awkward question to ask, but you know, I've interviewed you before, you're sitting very close to me. And he went as far as daring the special counsel to force his cooperation.
